“There’s an inherent lack of trust, that that would actually happen,” said Link, adding there are 10,000 charities with gaming licences in Alberta. There’s concern among charities that if their role in fundraising is reduced, their revenues will also decline, said Karen Link, executive director of Volunteer Alberta which assists the groups.
